Sound system rental is not a single list price; it depends on the equipment class, the size and acoustics of the room, how long the event runs, the time needed for installation and strike, and whether you want an operator. What determines sound system rental pricing?
A rental quote is built from these items: the class and quantity of equipment (line-array or active speakers; how many wireless microphones), the size and acoustics of the room, the duration of the event and how many days it spans, the time and crew needed for installation and strike, whether you want an operator or equipment only, transport distance, the venue's load-in conditions (lift, ramp, floor level), any need for a generator or extra power distribution, and how busy the date is in the season. Seeing these items up front also makes quotes comparable: the difference between two quotes is usually scope, not price.
How is the right power sized to the room?
There is no single answer to "how many watts?", because required power does not follow headcount alone. Four things decide it: the target sound pressure (a speech-led meeting and a gala with live music do not want the same level), the volume of the room, how the surfaces behave acoustically (carpet and drapes absorb, glass and concrete reflect), and how efficient the speakers are. Add headroom for peak moments; running a system at its limit is what makes sound distort. That is why we size it during the survey: an undersized system leaves the back row straining, an oversized one wastes budget.
Line-array or active speakers?
A line-array is a vertical column of speaker cabinets that distributes sound more evenly through the depth of a room; in long or crowded halls it lets the back row hear clearly without punishing the front row. Active point-source speakers are more practical and economical in small and mid-sized venues and where setup time is short. In wide rooms, supporting the rear with a delay line is often more efficient than renting a bigger main system.
Frequency coordination for wireless microphones
The most common technical failure in multi-speaker programmes is wireless microphone interference and dropout. To prevent it, microphone frequencies are coordinated ahead of the event against each other and against other systems in the building, allowing for other crews working simultaneously in a busy congress centre. Radio frequency use in Türkiye is subject to BTK regulation, so operating in a permitted band is part of the rental process. We also plan which microphone type suits each moment of the run of show.
What the rental includes and what it does not
Packages with installation include transport, setup, sound check, technical support throughout the event and strike. For equipment-only rental, delivery and return terms, liability and any deposit are written into the quote. Items that can fall outside scope: additional insurance required by the venue, generator and power distribution, technical service fees charged by venue management, and extra hours caused by the programme overrunning. Discussing these up front removes surprise costs.
With an operator, or equipment only?
Both work. Equipment-only rental makes sense for organisations with their own technical team. Most of our clients choose the operated option: a technician stays at the desk throughout, manages levels across speaker changes and video playback, and can step in without breaking the flow on stage. With no operator, even a correctly installed system has no live management, and that gap is felt most during speeches.
Booking timing for the 2026 season
Rental supply narrows by season. Spring dealer gatherings, the June graduation period, and December's year-end parties and award nights are the busiest windows in İstanbul, when both equipment and crews are committed early. If you are planning an event in the remaining busy period of 2026, we recommend fixing the date as early as possible to secure the equipment class and the crew. We also work on short notice, though the range of options naturally narrows.
What to send us for a quote
Five pieces of information are enough for a fast, realistic price: the date and duration, the venue (name and city if known), the estimated number of attendees, the nature of the programme (speech-led, or live music or a DJ), and whether you want an operator. With those we prepare an itemised quote, and we do not expand scope without your approval.

This mapping is a starting point. The final system is set during the technical survey, based on the room's volume, acoustics and programme; pricing is given line by line in the quote.
